Notice of 2010 Annual Business Meeting
 and
Neighborhood Gathering
 
Neighborhood Gathering, Sunday September 12th
Please join us on Sunday, September 12th (rain date Sunday, September 19th) from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Maplewood Drive. The meeting place is the midpoint of the street, in front of 228 Maplewood. The Association’s constitution calls for an annual meeting. In addition to the order of business, the gathering is an opportunity to introduce new and long-term residents to one another. 
 
Maplewood Drive will be blocked at Grand River and Roseland from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. to accommodate the gathering. Bring your lawn chair and a dish to share. Hot dogs will be provided courtesy of Nancy Knupfer of Tomie Raines Realtors. The Association will be providing beverages, condiments, ice, plates, napkins and utensils. Bringing a dish to share is welcomed but not required. 
 
This is a family affair. Activities for all ages will be provided. Entertainment for the kids will be provided from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
 
Bring Your New Neighbors
Established residents, please tell our new neighbors that we are looking forward to their attendance.
 
Pay Your Dues
Annual dues are $20 per household. Dues can be paid at the meeting. If you cannot attend the annual meeting, please mail or drop off your check (payable to Brookfield Heritage Neighborhood Association) to our treasurer: Janice Bernsten, 184 Maplewood Drive. Thanks!

The neighborhood uses e-mail announcements. Do we have your correct e-mail? Update it at the meeting or at: http://brookfieldneighborhood.net/mail.
Our webmaster, Carl Lira, will be assisting neighbors sign up for a website account at the meeting. A valid e-mail address is needed for an account.
 
Volunteers Needed to Serve
Four Board positions are open.  It is important to the quality of life in our neighborhood, that we maintain an active association within the City. We need nominees to fill these positions. If you are interested in serving on the board, phone Tim Dawson at 333-8654 or volunteer at our gathering.
 
Neighborhood Concerns?
Please bring your concerns to the meeting so they may be discussed.
 
Quorum Needed  
At least 25 members of the Association must be present before the annual meeting can be held.

Please join us on Sunday, September 13th (rain date Sunday, September 20th) from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Oakland Drive. The meeting place is the midpoint of the street, in front of 217 Oakland. The Association’s constitution calls for an annual meeting. In addition to the order of business, the gathering is an opportunity to introduce new and long-term residents to one another. Oakland Drive will be blocked at Grand River and Roseland from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. to accommodate the gathering. Bring your lawn chair and your sweet tooth. The Association will be providing ice cream, plates, napkins and beverages. Bringing additional confections to share are welcome but not required. 
 
This is a family affair. Activities for all ages will be provided. Local musicians will play from 4:00 -5:00 p.m. Face painting, balloons and games for the kids from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
