When you sign up for an account, we may verify that you are a neighbor by a phone call or visit before approving your account.

Your username will be displayed in any posts that you make. Do not use your e-mail address as your user name because it will be posted in the forums. Because the purpose of the site is to foster communication between neighbors, we like for our site member's identity to be obvious from the user name. Many of our members use their full names as user names. Spaces and capitalization are acceptable in your user name and improve readibility. Logins are case-insensitive; you do not need to match the user name case when logging on.

E-mail address privacy policy: your e-mail address is NOT posted on the site to users. Member contact is initiated via an web form. When you send mail via the web form, the individual who receives the e-mail will be given your e-mail address in the 'reply to' field, but otherwise your e-mail address is not distributed.

After the account request is submitted, you will receive an e-mail with instructions explaining how to complete the account creation. You must log in with the link provided in the e-mail within 24 hours or the account creation process must be reinitiated.
